Humble Indie Bundle 3.0
I made a post about the previous Humble Bundle and the awesome things they're doing for charity. The boys are bringing it around again with five new indie titles as incentive for your hard earned cash.
Since Humble Bundle have started their endeavor, they have raised over one million dollars to help Child's Play make children smile! This little bundle of joy would be a great way to unwind after an intense session of hardcore gaming while earning yourself a bit of good karma.
The games up for grabs this round are Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVVV, Hammerfight, and And Yet it Moves. Just so you know what you're getting yourself into, here's a rundown of the goodies you could be the proud owner of.
As they say in the intro; "It's not about finding just any solution. It's about finding the awesomest one." Crayon Physics Deluxe takes a page from Scribblenauts and puts the cutesy drawing into your hand. It brings out the little kid hidden under your layers of maturity with the hopes you will think of something past just genitalia to solve your problems. Not that there's anyone stopping you.
Perfect for those who hacked every machine in Bioshock just for the puzzles, Cogs has the same mechanic of fitting pieces together to get things moving, literally. Multilevel rotations bring the puzzles into the third dimension as you piece together machines as fast and efficiently as you can. They even have medals to rub in your friends' faces.
Some may recognize VVVVVV from random websites on the internet, and with that an appreciation of how consuming the drive to conquer its levels can be. Original "old school" music and a silly storyline pull this one-man creation into a real game worth to waste your afternoon playing.
Hammerfight is very mouse intensive, great for any Ogre twitch fan who finds themselves twirling their mouse cursor whenever they're waiting for a load screen. Part Steampunk, part post-apocalyptic, this game has an interesting mix of story and smash'em bash'em gameplay. It even has an element of 'make your own story', letting you choose your difficulty and story to follow.
The final game is my personal favourite, And Yet It Moves employs controls that make you pause the game and rethink your preconceptions of the universe. Insanely addicting once you can force your hands to shift the world appropriately, this game will keep you on your toes from beginning to end with its torn out 2D world.
As of now, the bundle will be available until August 10th, so make sure you head over to get your Humble Bundle ASAP! Follow them on Twitter for updates and future bundles!
