PAX East 2011: Headliner Titles (Part One)

Many high profile publishers were present at PAX East to show off their current and future releases. Let's run through a quick shake down of what THQ, EA, and Valve brought to Show and Tell.

Pax East 2011: Plants Vs Zombies

Just to prove I'm not a complete slacker, here's a short homage to the ridiculously cute marketing Popcap's Plants Vs Zombies enlightened convention goers with this weekend.

They stationed themselves on the front lines of battle, next to one of the entry doors, and proceeded to pass out Sunflower and Zombie stamped traffic cones that would tickle any fan's fancy.



Hats were only the paltry gift they were offering to passersby, the real treat was if you managed to find their cosplaying Sunflowers and Zombie characters wandering around the convention floor. We tripped across two Zombies in the media line and some Sunflowers intervened to protect my honour (and brains).

Get to Know: Siao

With Dallas soon approaching, I chatted up a rising power player out of Philly; Jesse "Siao" Ansbro, someone we're sure to be hearing more of throughout the 2011 season.

Microsoft Imagine Cup

The Imagine Cup is a technology competition hosted by Microsoft. Falling in line with Bill Gates' humanitarianism, the primary objective is to essentially save the world with innovative game play or software development.

A daunting task, no doubt, but who doesn't want to be a superhero?
